About Dr. Schumacher

Laurie Schumacher is a graduate of Loyola University with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She attended New York University College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004.

Upon graduation, Dr. Schumacher practiced dentistry in Orland Park, Illinois, for five years, before relocating to Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). Since graduation from dental school she strives to keep up with the latest techniques and tools to provide the best dental care for her patients. Dr. Schumacher attends numerous continuing education courses and is involved in various dental organizations.

Dr. Schumacher is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. In 2010 Dr. Schumacher completed LVI's Advanced Functional Dentistry program. She is Invisalign certified.

Britni Taylor, RDH
Dental Hygienist

Britni is a 2008 graduate of the Accredited Prairie State College Dental Hygiene Program. Britni is trained in the administration of local anesthesia (Novocain) and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia.

Britni's commitment to continuing education brings modern dental hygiene therapies to our practice. These therapies include periodontal health and maintenance as it relates to heart disease, coronary artery disease and caries risk and treatment. She places strong emphasis on prevention when speaking with patients about their oral health.


Gloria Pacini, RDH, BS

Gloria has been involved in dentistry for over twenty five years in the Greater Chicago area. In addition to her clinical responsibilites, she manages the clinical staff. Her teaching experience and diverse dental experience makes her an excellent clinical instructor. Gloria has extensive experience working with patients who suffer from sleep apnea, snoring and TMD, and unparalleled experience with the MediByte® (ambulatory PSG unit), patient education and as a physician liasion. Recently published in CRANIO (the Journal of Cranio Mandibular Practice) is her review of The TMJ Healing Plan written by Cynthia Peterson, PT. In her spare time, Gloria likes to be with family and friends.


Tonya Lauderdale
Dental Assistant

Tonya has been a dental assistant for over five years. She was born in San Diego and moved to Illinois four years ago. Tonya assisted Dr. Schumacher in her Orland Park office and followed her to the Willis Tower location. Her duties include chairside assisting, taking dental impressions, lab work and patient follow up care. Tonya and her husband are proud new parents of baby girl Kiersten.
Maricela Ramirez
Dental Assistant

Maricela was born and raised in Mexico. She has been a dental assistant for seven years. Most of her dental training was done at Rush University Hospital. Maricela is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is an excellent and efficient chairside dental assistant. Maricela is always prepared and ready for any dental challenge. In her free time she likes to read, swim and ride her bike.


Judy Wojcik
Patient/Front Desk Coordinator

Judy has been working in the dental field for over twelve years. Some of her duties include greeting patients, verifying insurance information, scheduling appointments and arranging patient referrals. Judy is highly trained and devoted to providing the best possible care for all of our patients. She grew up in Chicago and appreciates working in the city where she was raised. Judy also enjoys watching football, fishing and spending time with her boyfriend, friends and family.

Terese Pulley, RDH
Dental Hygienist

Terese graduated top of her class at the Accredited Prairie State College Dental Hygiene program. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and was awarded into the Dental Hygiene Honors Society. Terese is trained in the administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia.

Terese educates each patient about their periodontal health and is a a strong advocate on prevention and maintenance. She enjoys direct patient care as well as continuing education courses to stay current with the latest technology in dental field.


Maggie Sheahan
Hygiene Assistant

Maggie is new to the dental field but is very excited about a career in hygiene. She is responsible for disinfecting rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the hygienist with dental charting. She also takes radiographs (X-rays) and is well trained in the dental office protocols. Maggie is a great addition to the Frankfort office, her smile and positive attitude keeps patients at ease during their visit.
Cecilia Caratachea
Dental Assistant

Cessie was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and has been a dental assistant for over eleven years. She is bilingual, speaking both english and spanish. She is proficient in chairside assisting and whitening, dental impressions, lab work, and radiographs. She is also certified for coronal polishing. Cessie really enjoys her job and learning new ways to make dental appointments more comfortable. Outside of the office she treasures time spent with her husband and three daughters.


Kathy Burkhart
Patient/Front Desk Coordinator

Kathy has been in the dental profession for nine years. She worked with Dr. Schumacher in Orland Park and didn't hesitate to join her and Dr. Leipold when they opened the Frankfort office. Kathy's training at the reception desk, in the insurance field and her love for people make her a perfect fit with the new team. When not working, she enjoys her Goldendoodle puppy Houston, her lake house in Michigan and is a self-proclaimed #1 grandmother to four beautiful boys.
